Drdo Successfully developed indigenously anti torpedo decoy system '' Maareech''

The Indian navy said on Friday it has inducted an advanced anti-torpedo decoy system called ‘maareech’ this is capable of being fired from all frontline ships.

‘maareech’ has been designed and evolved indigenously via the defence research and development organization (drdo) and it's miles able to detecting, finding and neutralizing incoming torpedo. In a launch, the navy said, “the prototype of this system hooked up onboard a nominated naval platform had successfully finished all consumer evaluation trials and proven the functions as in line with the naval body of workers qualification requirements.” this induction, not handiest stands testimony to the joint resolution of the Indian navy and DRDO toward the indigenous improvement of defence technology, but has also given a primary fillip to the authorities ‘make in India’ initiative and clear up to turn out to be ‘atmanirbhar’ (self-reliant) in niche generation, the military said.
